This Sunday

Sunday, January 29, 2017 – Fourth Sunday after Epiphany

In the spirit of Taize Worship Service: The prayer/meditation service is very simple, using meditative song, times of silence and short scripture readings to allow those present to reflect, meditate, pray and encounter God in the way that is best understood by the individual. There is no sermon, homily, teaching of any kind for this is simply a prayer, reflection, meditation before God. After the service those who wish to remain are encouraged to join in joyful community together.

Jesus’ disciples came to him and he taught them saying: Happy are the poor in spirit, the kingdom of heaven is theirs. (Matthew 5:1-12)

When darkness and doubts assail you, why not keep them at arm’s length? Often they are only interludes of unbelief, nothing more. Why see yourself as dry ground? When his dew appears, the tears of the morning, a thirst is quenched in the desert of your soul.

We are located at 1700 First Ave., Ste. 312, Yuma, AZ 85364

Lord hear my prayer

Neither misfortunes nor the injustice of poverty come from God; all God can do is give  love. And so we are filled with astonishment when we discover that God looks at every human being with infinite tenderness and deep compassion.
